Utah Poison Control Center's 2020 Annual Report

We are happy to present the Utah Poison Control Center 2020 Annual Report.  This report highlights UPCC's role in Utah's response to the COVID-19 pandemic including managing the Utah Coronavirus Information Line in collaboration with the Utah Department of Health. Also highlighted is how the UPCC has maintained its mission "to prevent and minimize adverse health effects from a poison exposure through education, service, and research" during the pandemic. The UPCC found innovative ways to provide outreach education as well as continued to provide experiential toxicology education to future healthcare professionals throughout the pandemic.

ABOUT THE UTAH POISON CONTROL CENTER

The UPCC is a 24-hour resource for poison information, clinical toxicology consultation, and poison prevention education. The UPCC is a program of the State of Utah and is administratively housed in the University of Utah, College of Pharmacy. The UPCC is nationally certified as a regional poison control center.
